Our Life Safety Systems Services

PAT testing Ireland portable appliance testing

Portable Appliance Testing

Procheck tests all portable appliances at your premises and issues a full written report. Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007, businesses must carry out regular PAT testing. Furthermore, failure to comply can result in fines and legal repercussions.
Harness and lanyard inspection Ireland

Harness & Lanyard Inspection

Fall arrest equipment only works when every component passes inspection. Procheck certifies harnesses and lanyards to confirm they meet Irish safety standards, issuing a GA3 certificate on receipt of payment.
Fire door inspection Ireland Procheck

Fire Door Inspection

A fire door stops flames, smoke and toxic gases spreading during a fire — but only when every component meets the required standard. Procheck inspects and certifies fire doors every six months as the law requires.
Ladder inspection Ireland workplace safety

Ladder Inspection

Ladders cause more workplace accidents than almost any other piece of access equipment. Procheck carries out thorough ladder inspections and issues a GA3 certificate confirming every unit meets safe working standards.
Fire extinguisher maintenance Ireland IS 291

Fire Extinguisher Maintenance

Procheck services all extinguisher types and issues I.S. 291 certification on receipt of payment. Annual fire extinguisher maintenance is a legal requirement for every Irish workplace under the Fire Services Acts and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2007.

What Does My Business Need to Comply With?

All businesses — including schools, crèches and nursing homes — must follow Irish safety guidelines. Procheck makes compliance straightforward.

PAT Testing

Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulations 2007, businesses must carry out regular PAT testing. Furthermore, failure to maintain records can result in fines and legal repercussions.

Fire Extinguishers

Annual inspection and I.S. 291 certification is a legal requirement under the Fire Services Acts. Therefore, every workplace must arrange regular fire extinguisher servicing.

Fire Doors

Six-monthly inspection is a legal requirement under the Fire Services Acts 1981 and 2003. As a result, all commercial premises need regular fire door surveys by a competent person.

MEWP Inspection

Scissor lifts, cherry pickers and hoists used for lifting people must undergo a thorough examination every six months. In addition, a GA1 certificate is required as proof of inspection for HSA compliance.

Ladders & Harnesses

Similarly, ladders and harnesses require formal inspection every six months under the General Application Regulations 2007. Procheck issues GA3 certificates on receipt of payment.

Scaffold Inspection

Finally, scaffolding on construction sites requires inspection every seven days and after any event that could affect stability, under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
