Why Choose Procheck for Manual Handling Training?

Training With Your Inspections

Most of our clients already use Procheck for PAT testing, fire extinguisher maintenance, or equipment inspections. Therefore, we can deliver your manual handling training on the same visit as your inspections. One contractor and one purchase order covers your compliance.

Renewal Reminders Built In

Certificates expire after 3 years and most businesses only notice during an audit. However, every Procheck training record lives on Procheck Hub, so you receive a reminder before renewal falls due. As a result, your team never works on an expired cert.

Deal Directly With the Owner

You deal directly with the owner, so quotes come back the same day. Pricing is on request and depends on group size and location, so send us your numbers for a same-day quote. Furthermore, our Annual Compliance Contract includes training as a bundle option with a 10% discount.

On-Site Group Training, Not an Online Course

This is on-site group training for employers, not an online cert. A QQI Level 6 qualified Manual Handling Instructor delivers every session at your premises. The course combines theory with a practical assessment using loads relevant to your workplace. Each session takes around a half day, so we can train two groups in one visit. Every attendee receives a certificate on successful completion. Certificates remain valid for 3 years. Additionally, we record every cert on Procheck Hub, our online compliance platform, and you receive a reminder before renewal falls due. As a result, your training records stay audit-ready without anyone keeping a spreadsheet.

When Manual Handling Training Is Required

Employers must provide manual handling training wherever staff lift, carry, push, or pull loads as part of their work. This duty comes from the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007. Consequently, the requirement covers far more than warehouses and building sites. Schools, offices, retail, healthcare, hospitality, and manufacturing all have staff who handle loads. The HSA guidance on manual handling sets out what training must cover. Refresher training every 3 years is the recognised standard.
